7 Days Kenya Safari

Early morning, pick up between 07.00am & 07.30am from Trademark Hotel by our driver guide and Representative who will give you a short briefing on your upcoming safari. You then depart on an approx. 4 hr. 56min – 6 hours’ drive (155 miles) in the private Land Cruiser 4x4 to Mara Maisha Camp, a luxury tented camp located just 4.5km from Talek Gate of the world-famous Maasai Mara National Reserve to arrive before 1.30PM form lunch at the Camp.

This drive takes you through the Great Rift Valley, the East African Rift System is one of the most extensive rifts on the Earth’s surface. The view of the escarpment and local farmlands. You will have a short stop along the way as selected by your driver guide before proceeding to Narok an approx. 1 hr. 50mins (63.5 mi) for another brief stop as you proceed to Mara Maisha Camp a 2-hr. drive (64.6mi)

Arrive in time for lunch and check-in. After lunch enjoy a siesta before the mid-afternoon game drive in the park. You will meet with your driver guide at the reception for a 2.8 mi drive through Talek Gate into the endless plains of the Maasai Mara National Reserve. This period is known for the massive number of wildebeest seen feasting on the plains. This wildlife sanctuary records over 50 years of conservancy, originally established in 1961, covering 520 square kilometers including the Mara Triangle. A portion of the land was returned to the local communities and currently the Mara ecosystem covers 1,510 square kilometers. The Maasai people still rely on their land to feed their cattle and livelihood.

A full day in the Mara, with unlimited game drives, early morning you may use the tea & coffee making facility in your tent before you depart for an early morning game drive from 6.30am to 9am returning for full breakfast at the Camp, where you are likely to find the Mara at its most active.

After breakfast, depart for a mid-morning game drive in the National Reserve with packed lunch boxes, spend a full day in search of the wildlife who appear at this hour, the Mara is famous for its diversity and number of Big Five including: Lion, African Elephant, Rhinoceros, Cape Buffalo and Leopards, though Rhinos will need more effort to search for, however, that’s why its call a “safari”. Over 500 bird species have been recorded in the Mara and the river is home to hippos and crocodiles.

Your driver guide will advise on the safest and best spot to stop for lunch before you embark on your last game drive for the say enroute to the Camp. Return to the camp, freshen-up for dinner and overnight.

Full day in the Maasai Mara National Reserve with unlimited game drives as previous day. Early morning game drive, return for breakfast, depart after breakfast with packed lunch boxes, full day spent in the Maasai Mara National Reserve. Apart from the Africa Big Five, you may see large herd of herbivores like plains Zebra, Topis, Wildebeest, Gazelle, Giraffes and many more. Return to the Camp late afternoon, freshen-up for dinner and overnight.

Early breakfast, check-out and depart for Nairobi approx. 5–6-hour drive through Narok Town with packed lunches from Mara Maisha Camp. Great Rift Valley to Nairobi arrive around lunch time, our driver will drop you off at Wilson Airport for your afternoon flight to Ukunda, South Coast.

You will be met on arrival by The Maji Boutique hotels’ driver (with a PAGER) and transferred to the hotel. Time to unwind and enjoy the fresh air of the Indian Ocean in your Deluxe Ocean View Room.

Early breakfast in The Maji Beach Boutique Hotel, you will be pick-up by 07:00am for full Day Pilli Pipa Dhow Safari, snorkeling excursion to Kisite Marine National Park (Home of The Dolphins) with lunch on Wasini Island. (program was earlier shared). You will be brought back to the Hotel late afternoon. Freshen-up for dinner at the Hotel

NOTE: A minimum preflight surface interval of 12 hours is suggested for a single no-decompression dive.

Full day relaxing along the South Coast. You may choose to engage in the in-house activities though some may incur extras charges, kindly inquire prior e.g. The 19-hole golf course, visit a local village, walk through the Kaya Kinondo Sacred Forest, snorkeling around the sand islands or Kisite Marine National Park, wind surfing, kite surfing, stand-up paddle boarding, body boarding, beach buggy, sea kayaking to mention a few.

Breakfast, and check out with packed lunches for your morning flight to Ukunda Airstrip for your Safari link flight at 11:25 AM to arrive Wilson Airport at 12:35. I will be at Wilson Airport to meet you with our driver and we will transfer you to the JKIA International Airport for your return flight home departing 4:35 PM.
