Overview
This visit takes to a mountain range in Makueni County. ‘Chyulu’ means ‘spotted hills. A flight from Wilson airport Nairobi takes you to the rugged wilderness with distinctive views of Mount Kilimanjaro is the highest is Africa.
You have a chance to see large mammals including elephants, leopards, giant forest hogs, bush pigs, reedbucks, giraffes and buffaloes as the hills are a water catchment area. Between 45 and 60 minutes to Campi ya Kanzi or Ol Donyo, on scheduled flights through Tsavo West National Park. Wilson Airport to Kithyasu Airstrip in Chyulu National Park.
A minimum of 3 days and 2 nights is ideal.
Shoes must be comfortable enough to walk especially on hiking or walking safaris, wear colors such as Khaki, brown, beige/tan and green are perfect whilst on safari as they blend with the surrounding. In the evenings a pair of jeans, trousers and a long-sleeved shirt, a safari jacket or warm fleece on chilly nights.
