Maasai Mara

Day 1 :

Arrival – Nairobi

Met on arrival from your international flight at the JKIA airport by one of our representatives to Giraffe Manor in Karen area a 35 min drive. You can tour the nearby excursions in the area such as have a stroll to the Giraffe Centre, adopt & meet a baby elephant as you visit the orphaned elephants at Sheldrick Wildlife Trust a 19 min drive, breakfast with the giraffes or afternoon tea, Daisy’s Café is located at The Retreat, Orchid house for private dinner. Meals: Lunch, dinner. Overnight at Giraffe Manor or similar

Day 2 :

Full Day in Nairobi

Tour of the City, visit Giraffe Centre, Visit Karen Blixen Museum, Kazuri Beads, Nairobi National Park, Nairobi Animal Orphanage, Croquet and boules or chess, visit African heritage, Karen Blixen, National Museum, Mat Bronze, Circle Art Gallery, Go Down Arts Centre, shopping in Nairobi, Spa treatments, Nairobi National Park, Horse riding in Nairobi, Either lunch or dinner at the Carnivore Restaurant. Meals: Breakfast, lunch or dinner at the Carnivore. Overnight Giraffe Manor or similar

Day 3 :

Nairobi – Samburu National Reserve

After breakfast, depart for a drive to Kalama Conservancy through Nyeri, Nanyuki, Isiolo and in through Archers Post to Saruni Samburu lodge a 5 hr 25 min drive. Arrive in time for lunch at the Camp. Next two nights spent at Saruni Samburu are as peaceful or adventurous as you desire. Late afternoon game viewing drive in an area teeming with wildlife – from the giant herds of Samburu elephant coming to drink at the waterholes, leopard making their lairs on rocky outcrops nearby, to endangered packs of African wild dog seen traversing the plains below the lodge. The area around the lodge is also home to rare endemic species, the Samburu Five: Grevy’s zebra, reticulated giraffe, Beisa oryx, Somali ostrich and Gerenuk. Return for dinner. Day 4 :

Samburu National Reserve

Full day in Sera Conservancy Trust, with option of visiting Samburu National Reserve. Picnic lunch can be organized if you will be going for a full day in the Reserve. The lodge has an array of activities you may wish to engage such as day game viewing drives and night drives, guided bush walks. Meals: Breakfast, lunch, dinner. Overnight at Saruni Samburu Lodge or similar

Day 5 :

Samburu National Reserve

Another full day in Samburu, engage in Visits to the local caves, lounging at the infinity pools, have a massage at the Samburu Wellbeing Space, picnic breakfasts by the Ewaso Niro River, bush dinners in a dry river bed with firelight and Samburu dancers, star-gazing visiting the local village, browsing around the Saruni shop. Meals: Breakfast, lunch, dinner. Overnight at Saruni Samburu Lodge or similar

Day 6 :

Aberdares National Park

After breakfast, a 3 hr 14 min (174 km/108 mi) south through towns of Isiolo, Nanyuki, Naro Moro on to Solio Sanctuary on a game drive into the private game reserve that extends between the spurs of Aberdare Mountains and Mt. Kenya. This 25,000-hectare reserve is famous for its unique success in the rearing of the White and Black Rhino. Lions, leopards, cheetahs, buffaloes and zebras can also be spotted in large numbers here. Arrive in time for lunch at Solio lodge. After lunch proceed on to the Ark a 52min (47.8km/29.7 mi) set in the heart of the Aberdare National Park. Afternoon game viewing drive in the Aberdares National Park return for dinner. Day 7 :

Aberdares National Park – Lake Naivasha

After breakfast, a 3 hrs. 18min (192km/119.3 mi) drive north to Nyahururu, then south to Gilgil and another 45mins (29.2km/18.1 mi) drive to Loldia House and original Kenyan home set up on an old farm on the shores of Lake Naivasha. Check-in for lunch, and here you can relax by the pool, enjoy the views, go on a game viewing drive, or indulge in a variety of treatments from the poolside spa room. Dinner at the House. Day 8 :

Lake Naivasha

Full day spent relaxing in Loldia House with options to Hell’s Gate Gorge, Fisher’s Tower, Obsidian Caves, 103 species with the notable bearded Vulture, Day trip to Lake Nakuru National Park with picnic lunch or lunch at Sarova Lion Hill Game lodge, Visit Eburu Forest Reserve or take a boat trip on Lake Naivasha. Meals: breakfast, lunch, dinner. Overnight at Loldia House or similar

Day 9 :

Lake Naivasha -Maasai Mara National Reserve

Breakfast at the House, proceeded by a 4 hr 47 min (247 km/ 153.4 mi) drive to the Maasai Mara House in the Wild which sits in an incredible world class conservation project, the phenomenal unlimited game viewing drive through the Enonkishu, Lemek and Ol Chorro Conservancies Arrive for lunch at the lodge/Camp. After lunch siesta, late afternoon game viewing drive. Return to the Camp for dinner. Meals: breakfast, lunch, dinner. Overnight at House in the Wild or similar

Day 10 :

Maasai Mara National Reserve

Full day of unlimited game viewing with a chance to see the resident pride of lion, plenty of leopards, elephants and lots of plains game, guests usually see the Big 5. You are welcome to walk around the estate, meet the conservation team, do some tree planting. Visit the vegetable shamba where you can help find ingredients for the kitchen, play table tennis, garden games – croquet, garden boules, rugby balls, board games. Sundowners on the edge of the hill. Day 11 :

Maasai Mara National Reserve

Full day in the Mara, a wake up at dawn with tea/coffee, option of a hot-air balloon safari followed by champagne breakfast before proceeding on a morning game drive or have a morning game drive with bush breakfast thereafter. Other activities such as guided walks within Naretoi, play tennis at the court, local School visits in Emarti Village, go fishing in the Mara River, visit the Mara Training Centre are available at your choice. Day 12 :

Maasai Mara National Reserve – Nairobi

Breakfast at the House, before a 4 hr 38 min (247.5km/153.7mi) drive through Narok onto Nairobi. Check-in at the Hilton Garden Inn Hotel along Mombasa Road for lunch, rest of the day spent at leisure by the pool or reading a book. Dinner at the hotel. Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, dinner. Overnight at Hilton Garden Inn Hotel or similar

Day 13 :

Nairobi – Amboseli National Park

After breakfast depart the hotel on the Mombasa/Nairobi highway for Amboseli National Park is a 4 hr 9 min (216.4km/134.4 mi) drive. This park has a backdrop of the scenic Mount Kilimanjaro in Tanzania, located on the border of Tanzania and Kenya. A park considered to be one of the premium tourist destinations in Africa made up of five different habitants that hosting a wide range of over 500 bird species and over 50 animal species. One of the highlights of this park is the large population of Elephants found at the park. Meals: Breakfast, lunch, dinner. Overnight at Tortilis Camp or similar

Day 14 :

Amboseli

A cup of tea/coffee before your early morning game viewing drive in the park, return to the camp for breakfast and a mid-morning game viewing drive ensues with a chance to see the plain game such as Jackals, spotted hyenas, olive baboons, vervet monkeys, antelopes, and may even see the leopard or cheetah. Return to the camp for lunch, siesta and choice of a late afternoon game viewing drive or guided nature walk and combine with a visit to the Maasai Village. Dinner and overnight at the Camp. Day 15 :

Amboseli National Park – Kilifi County Mombasa

Morning game viewing drive in the park, return for breakfast, mid-morning game drive retuning for lunch at the Camp, check-out and depart for the Amboseli airstrip a 45min drive with game viewing enroute. Our driver will return to Nairobi empty run after seeing you off at the airstrip for your scheduled flight on Mombasa Air to Vipingo. Met on arrival at the airstrip by the driver of Sirai Beach and transferred to the Sirai Beach. Sirai Beach is a private family home overlooking the Indian Ocean from a cliff top set-in tropical garden dotted with trees. The house is designed to capture the gentle breeze as it rolls in from the ocean. Dinner at Sirai. Meals: Accommodation on all-inclusive basis. Day 16 :

Kilifi County

Sirai Beach sleeps 12 guests in six individual suites dotted across within the 4.5-acre grounds, all with sea views. Enjoy the beach bar, and sunset dhow cruise, Golf & Riding, visit the local market, the onsite activities by going for a spa. Pilates and yoga sessions, the gym, tennis court, relax and stream a movie at the TV room, a swim in the 25-metre infinity lap pool (1.8 meters at its deepest point), take the coral spiral staircase located near the pool leads down to the ocean, where, during low tide you can enjoy the beach. Day 17 :

Kilifi County

Full day in Kilifi where you can venture in off-site activities such as snorkeling, kayaking, paddle boarding, deep sea fishing, whale and Dolphin watching, Scuba diving, deep sea fishing, sailing, wake boarding, water skiing and wind surfing. Meals: All-inclusive basis. Overnight at Sirai Beach.

Day 18 :

Kilifi County – Nairobi

Day spent in at Sirai Beach, till the time of check out for the drive to Malindi Airport an hr 6 min (60.9km/37.8 mi). Subject to your outbound flight, there is an afternoon or evening flight to the International to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport. The alternative is an early flight to allow for a day room at an airport hotel. Meals: Breakfast, lunch at Sirai Beach, option of day room at airport hotel.
