Overview
The Lodge is an elevated “treehouse” suite, perched high up with views over the adjacent baobab and marula trees, giving an adventurous and exotic feel, providing guests with a unique and most memorable safari experience in Twenty Suites, each 65sqm2. The Suites have a private balcony and are lavishly furnished with natural material blended in contemporary Africana décor.
Tarangire Treetops sits alone in a 312km2 community Wildlife area bordering Tarangire National Park, on the path of an annual elephant migration route, amid a landscape of rolling and baobab studded hills. Located southwest of Arusha and south of the large open grass plains of southern Maasailand. This Lodge sits in the sixth largest National Park in Tanzania, named after the Tarangire River that crosses through the park.
Being the only source of water for wild animals during dry seasons. During the dry season thousands of animals migrate to the Tarangire National Park from Manyara, this vast area offers an array of game including some of the largest herds of elephants in Africa and over 550 bird species.
Centered about a Main Lodge – which itself encases a thousand-year-old baobab tree – the spacious and tranquil dining room, reception, and lounge overlook the swimming pool and a waterhole that sees a steady flow of wild animal visitors. Access to Tarangire Treetops can be done either by driving directly from Kilimanjaro or Arusha or on schedule, private chartered flights from Arusha to Kuro airstrip.
