This Lodge is set in 50 acres of virgin Tanzanian bush in the Ngorongoro volcanic landscape, a luxury suites wood log cabin style retreats a few steps from the Game Reserve Gate, and 20 minutes’ drive away from the Ngorongoro Crater is said to have the densest concentration of wildlife in Africa and listed as Tanzania’s UNESCO-listed Ngorongoro Conservation Area.
This highly visited African attraction is the world’s largest inactive, unbroken and unfilled volcanic caldera. The Ngorongoro Crater is the world’s largest caldera with global importance for biodiversity conservation due, to the presence of globally threatened species, the density of wildlife inhabiting the area, and the annual migration of wildebeest, zebra, gazelles, and other animals into the northern plains.
Extensive archaeological research has also yielded a long sequence of evidence of human evolution and human-environment dynamics, including early hominid footprints dating back 3.6 million years.
This Lodge is an all-inclusive property that features 20 spacious private log cabins with a fireplace, a restaurant, a bar, and conference facilities. With moments of relaxation at the swimming pool or The Earth & Rain Spa after a full-day game drive. Children of all ages are welcome. Children 13 and above are considered adults at this property.
Open all year round with accessibility by air from Arusha Airport (ARK) for local domestic scheduled flights or private charter (30mins) with one hour drive from the Manyara Airstrip to all lodges in Ngorongoro or by road 2hrs 40mins (177.5 km).
