Hotels, Lodges & Camp Partners:
Location: Serengeti National Park, Tanzania
Overview:
Serengeti Mara is the one part of the northern Serengeti National Park has matched game viewing as the southern plains. This area is a small portion of sloping grassland separated from the Kenya border and the Mara River, accessible near Kogatende Rangers Post crossing a concrete causeway spanning the river.
With the annual Great Wildebeest migration from July to September, wildlife viewing along the Mara River is breathtaking, as great herds of wildebeest and zebras congregate on one side of the river, as they take their time before one brave individual dare to cross and the rest follow suit, this is also the best location in the park to see the dry season wildebeest river crossings.
