Overview
Located 143 kms from Arusha Town, and 8 kms from Kuro Airstrip, nestled in the heart of the National Park is Tarangire Kuro Treetops Lodge strategically located atop an elevated Kopje Hill, overlooking the Tarangire River and the Silale Valley leading to the Silale swamps in the west, famous for the wide number of animals visiting throughout the year for fresh water.
The park, named after the Tarangire River is famous for fostering some of the largest concentration of elephants in Tanzania, and for the numerous Baobab trees, co-existing with wildlife in their natural habitat.
With 25 tents uniquely built on stilts perched along the Baobab tree line, all about this lodge trails luxury, the beddings, ensuite bathrooms, indoor and out door showers, a private veranda with a perfect vantage point. The rooms are designed to offer an optimum 180 degrees view allowing guests to connect with the ever-present wildlife from the privacy and comfort of their rooms.
Within the Kopje Rocks, is the main Pavillion, where you find several comfort lounges, viewing decks, a fireplace, swimming pool, an open dining concepts at Maasai Boma where guests can enjoy dinner under a large canvas brightly lit under the stars.
The eco-lodge runs on a 24-hour solar power system making it possible to enjoy the finer things whilst reducing environmental impact, amidst relaxed atmosphere that pays attention to details.
