Overview
The Oserengoni Wildlife Sanctuary was established by Hans and June Zwager with their son Peter in 1995, and sits two properties namely Chui Lodge & Chui Bush Homes. The Chui Lodge is situated in the heart of the Sanctuary comprises of 8 luxurious cottages set in a beautifully manicured garden and was designed and created by June Zwager with the help of the local community and her team of skilled craftsmen. The lodge is built from simple bush stone, Acacia, Olive and Leleshwa wood all sustainably sourced within the sanctuary.
All furniture has been handcrafted at the onsite word workshop where every piece is unique and adds to the African flare of Chui Lodge. The dining room, lounge and bar feature pillars and murals with intricate African carvings, Africa antique and ochre-colored walls creating the feel of an artist’s gallery.
From the main building and cottages is a large swimming pool with views across the waterhole and the sanctuary beyond. Refresh by the pool while watching herds of giraffe walk past in so much space and privacy of the African bush without disturbance.
The Team of professionally trained chefs prepare an array of international standard cuisine and served under the shade of the acacia trees whilst you watch the wildlife drinking form the nearby waterhole, with many ingredients sourced from the lodge’s own dairy and organic vegetable farm. Your palates are satisfied with 4 course dinners served either inside with a log fire to keeping everything warm, candle-lit under the stars as you listen to the hyenas call in the distance, a romantic private dining at your cottage or lunch by the pool area.
The chefs are trained in specialized dietary requirements and of assistance and willing to discuss exact meals or indulgences you may want. The Menu varies from delicious wood smoked beef fillets cooked to perfection on outdoor BBQs to homemade pizzas cooked in the charcoal ovens, where charcoal is sustainable made onsite. A visit to the La Pieve Vegetable farm and dairy herd is available to guests.

Accommodation
8 ensuite individual and well-spaced luxurious bandas each with its own veranda and views of the Rift Valley escarpment and the Wildlife Sanctuary.
Comprising of 5 standard rooms and 3 deluxe rooms, all bedrooms have magnificent 4 poster king size olive wood beds, roaring log fires, unique décor, making each room completely different from one another.
Standard rooms: are all creatively designed with fireplaces in the bedroom attached to large bathrooms, large jacuzzi style baths, fluffy robes & slippers, eco-friendly body washes, tea/coffee stations and minbar restocked every day.
Deluxe Banda: larger, large king size beds and extravagant bathrooms, with own lounge areas, some have extra sofa bed, boasting a separate sitting room with fireplace, each has a unique view, some overlooking the wildlife waterholes, others the gardens and ponds. Each room has birdbath outside and veranda to enjoy early morning coffee.
