Lemala Ngorongoro is well set in amongst the ancient acacia forest, close to the rim of the magnificent Ngorongoro Crater and next to the quiet Lemala crater access road on the eastern side. Staying at Ngorongoro Tented Camp gives you quick and easy access drive down the crater floor during your morning game drives, giving you an hour’s head start over other visitor’s descending the busy Seneto crater accessible from the western rim.
The Camp has 10 spacious tents carefully positioned to provide privacy with minimal impact on the pristine forest environment. Each room can accommodate two queen-size beds, little warm winter-weight duvets for the cool nights at the Rim, hot water bottles, gas heaters, ensuite spacious bathrooms with a dressing area, flush toilet, a large safari-style shower.
The mess tent is attractively decorated with grand sofas, lamps, bookshelves, corner cabinets in old wood, chests and rugs. As a result of the perfect location of the Camp, the area is prime in wildlife, the open game drive vehicles and phenomenally trained professional guides, Lemala’s guest enjoy fantastic game viewing at all times of the year. Evenings are spent around the campfire where safari tales of the day are shared before a sumptuous meal.
