Overview
Marangu Hotel is located within the beautiful gardens of 12 acres of rich exotic trees and flowering scrubs. Bult in early 1900s, opened as a farmhouse and later to guests in early 1920s targeting those who organized mount climbs in 1930s.
As a family owned, the 26 farmhouse-style cottages have been kept in the same style as the original farm house from the 1920s offering rooms in single, double, twin or triples.
The views from the Hotel capture the magnificent Mount Kilimanjaro from the gardens where guests can enjoy a clear view of Kilimanjaro’s peaks, the iconic, ice-capped Kibo and the rocky Mawenzi.
Uniqueness of this Camp
- Over 80 years’ experience in organizing Kilimanjaro climbs on all routes.
- The Original farm house now turned into a reception and offices constructed as a coffee farm in 1907 and later transformed in 1932.
