Lake Shore Lodge was constructed in early 1970s on the old site, which still has beautiful views of the lake that saw pioneers of Hollywood come visit. The lodge provides an unparallel opportunity to witness the attractive beauty of Lake Tanganyika, with 6 chalets built right up the water’s edge and 8 lawn bandas for those on budget and 4 private campsites. Here you indulge in adventurous activities, spa treatments, and delicious cuisine which create an unforgettable experience.
The exclusive Honeymoon Suite is your piece of “honeymoon heaven” at Lake Shore, with romantic views of the lake and Island, it features one king-sized bed, sunken bath, twin showers, a dressing area, and a private dining deck perfect for the sundowner.
Maldives-style Chalets have been built into the water of Lake Tanganyika, the front doors open completely to offer incredible views of the lake, and island, each room has double or twin beds, ensuite with a shower, toilet, vanity and dressing area. The veranda is an ideal location to sip a cup of coffee whilst watching the water life swim around your room.
Lawn Bandas have unrestricted views onto Lake Tanganyika, and are designed for more budget conscious visitors, the rooms are in double or twin beds, and share Zen-style bathrooms located behind the Bandas.

Lawn Bandas: all rooms have a double or twin bed, built with the budget traveler in view, Zen-style bathrooms which are located behind the Bandas.
