At Forest Chem Chem, take a moment to slow down and appreciate each moment for what it is, whether it’s taking time to hear the dawn chorus, or marveling at a child discovering the complexity of nature. This Camp is a 20-minute drive from Little Chem Chem along the Tarangire River, on a 16000ha privately managed Wildlife Management Area.
Guests have an opportunity to discover and explore more of the game-rich areas bordering Tarangire National Park and Lake Burunge. ‘Kuungana’ means ‘to connect’ in Swahili and this is the essence of this camp to share adventures and create memories around a crackling campfire here you savor the stillness of privacy whilst indulging in the freedom of a bespoke safari.
At Forest Chem Chem, you are reminded of the small things in life that are rarely remembered, take a moment to slow down and appreciate family and friends, conversation, and laughter. With 3 vintage tents and 1 Family tent on an exclusive use basis, the camp comfortably sleeps up to eight adults and two children. Children of all ages are welcome as guests but must be accompanied by parents/guardians on all safari activities.
The Family Tent has 2 bedrooms, and 2 bathrooms and can accommodate 2 children (under 16) and 2 adults, with exclusivity comes complete freedom to experience a bush camp on your own schedule, not only is the camp in close proximity to one park but two national parks, and the resurrection of an ancient migratory corridor through this land as a result of the conservation work by the Chem Chem Association.

- The 3 tents are large, with a double tent with king-sized bed/Twin, whilst there is an extra Twin bedroom in the family tent.
